This is our winter warmer. Based on the recipe found in the Tolly Cobbold brewing book. In 1983 the Good beer guide described it thus. A dark winter ale with good malt and roast aroma. These characteristics are also evident in the initial flavour, along with caramel. The finish is bitter sweet, with a lasting dryness.
